This is an exact replica of the helmet worn by Lewis Hamilton in the 2017 Brazilian Grand Prix weekend.
After clinching his fourth Formula 1 championship in the previous race at Mexico, Hamilton was expected to wear a special edition design for the weekend at Brazil. The English driver elected to change the usual fire yellow of his 2017 helmet collection to a lemon yellow, and to the three stars on each side of the helmet, each star attached to seafoam green, yellow, and blue stars, a golden stripe was added and the fourth star on each side of the helmet meant Hamilton’s fourth F1 crown.
The Brazilian Cristo Redentor remained in the back of the head protector, while the “HAM” reading changed from black to blue. The “Still I Rise” quote was changed from red to blue, while the Brazilian National Motto “Ordem e Progresso” was added to each side of the Cristo Redentor, along with the blue disk positioned in the middle of the Brazilian flag.
Hamilton’s weekend at Brazil did not start in the best possible way after he crashed during the qualifying session and had to start the race from the pitlane. However, the champion had a solid comeback on Sunday, finishing in fourth place just 5.4 seconds behind the winner of the race.
