This is an exact replica of the helmet worn by Michael Schumacher in the 2001 Italian Grand Prix weekend.

The design’s main style didn’t have many changes for the Monza GP, however, all sponsors were removed from the head protector since the race was celebrated days after the September 11 attacks. The main color was the usual candy red, but one half of the helmet had an orange tone. Schumacher’s Ferrari participated with a black nose cone in the race in order to show respect to the victims of the attack.

On the track, Schumacher did not have a fantastic weekend, as he could not reach a podium place, finishing fourth. This was the only race in which Schumacher finished in 2001 and was not part of the podium spots.
