2020 EIFEL GRAND PRIX

The 11th Grand Prix of the 2020 season will take place in the Nürburgring, at Germany.

The race presents a historic chance for Lewis Hamilton, as he is looking to tie Michael Schumacher‘s record of 91 Grand Prix wins, which is the highest tally in Formula 1 history.

The event will be the first time in seven years that the Formula 1 paddock travels to the German track. In 2013, the previous race in the circuit, Sebastian Vettel won for Red Bull, while Hamilton had started from Pole Position for Mercedes.

The Grand Prix is named after the region where the circuit is located, in the Eifel mountains. The Grand Prix name (Eifel), will be the fourth different name given to a Grand Prix celebrated in Germany, after the German, European and Luxembourg races.

As it is a new, special event, we expect to see many special edition helmets for the race. We´ve already seen new designs from Vettel, George Russell, Lando Norris or Carlos Sainz, while we also saw the helmets of Mick Schumacher and Callum Ilott, which were set to make their practice session debut on the track but could not do it due to weather conditions.
