This is an exact replica of the helmet worn by Formula One champion Niki Lauda in the 1976 German Grand Prix.

The livery is painted in Lauda’s iconic red and the name of the Austrian champion written in white letters on each side. The shape of the helmet is different to others from his career. Coincidentally, he wore the helmet the day of his near-fatal crash at the 1976 German Grand Prix, where he suffered life-threatening burnings.

As a difference from other 1976 designs from Lauda, this livery includes the wingboots in the back of the helmet.

In the 1976 campaign, Lauda finished second after a historical rivalry with Englishman James Hunt. Hunt went on to win the title by one point after Lauda withdrew fron the last race in Japan due to the danger created by heavy rain.
