This is an exact replica of the helmet worn by Canadian legend Gilles Villeneuve in the 1979 F1 season.

The helmet is divided into two main areas, one painted in black and the other in red. The design features red sides and a blacktop. Letters “V” can be seen in the back and in the sides, united by a horizontal stripe.

Villeneuve had his best Formula One campaign in 1979 driving the Ferrari 312T4, which he drove to victory three times and to the podium in four other occasions. He finished second in the championship with 47 points, four behind his teammate Jody Scheckter.
