This is an exact replica of the helmet worn by Fernando Alonso during the 2005 F1 season, the year of his maiden title.
The helmet is painted in light blue and has the Spanish flag surrounding it from the front to the back, painted as a straight band like it was in the early stages of his career. The Asturias’ Victory Cross image is painted in yellow twice on each side of the lower stripe of the helmet.
The top, which is painted in navy blue, features Alonso’s arrows, both painted in chromed silver. The Spanish driver said that he took the arrows from a toy he was gifted as a kid because the driver had the arrows on his helmet.
The helmet is commemorative of Alonso’s first Drivers’ Title in 2005.
The Spanish driver won the championship over Finnish Kimi Raikkonen, who finished 21 points behind. Alonso won seven races in the year and finished on the podium 15 times.
