George Russell Full Scale Helmets
George Russell is a British Formula 1 driver for Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team. The Englishman has been in Formula 1 since 2019, when he made his debut in the sport with the historic Williams team, on the back of his title-winning season in 2018 in the FIA F2 series, ahead of current F1 drivers Lando Norris and Alexander Albon.
Russell spent his first three seasons in the series with the subpar Williams’ team, which had generally the worst car on the grid during those years and provided little chances of any success for Russell in terms of scoring points.
Still, Russell showed he could be consistent both in qualifying and races and was clearly ahead of his teammates. In the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix, Russell replaced Sir Lewis Hamilton and drove for Mercedes due to the champion testing positive for Covid-19. In that race, he qualified second and came close to winning before radio communication and a puncture left him only ninth.
He made his debut as a full-time Mercedes driver in 2022 and has shown consistency since the start. He’s been on several podiums and snatched the first Pole Position of his career in the 2022 Hungarian Grand Prix. His first podium with Mercedes came in the 2022 Australian Grand Prix, with a third place.
Since 2022, Russell has been the teammate of multiple World Champion Hamilton, who is the greatest driver in the history of the sport, and both have worked together nicely for Mercedes, helping the team improve their 2022 challenger, the W13.
