This is an exact replica of the helmet worn by F1 World Champion Mika Hakkinen in the 1998 season, when he won his first title.
Hakkinen’s typical helmet design, which he chose in his karting days, include the colors of the Finnish flag. The helmet is white with three stripes on the sides painted in three different tones of blue, going from lighter to deeper from the low stripe to the top one. The helmet contains a white halo on the top and the top is painted in indigo blue.
In 1993, Hakkinen won eight races and seal the World Drivers’ Championship in the 1998 Japanese Grand Prix with a great victory. Hakkinen became the second Finnish driver to win the F1 title after Keke Rosberg did it in 1982. Hakkinen beat Ferrari’s Michael Schumacher after a great battle in the whole season.
