Red Bull’s Dutch F1 driver Max Verstappen, won the 2022 Canadian Grand Prix to give the team its sixth consecutive win and further enhance their leads in the World Drivers’ and Constructors’ championships.
Carlos Sainz finished second for Ferrari and pushed hard towards the end to try and get his first F1 victory, while Sir Lewis Hamilton finished third for Mercedes after a solid weekend, The British legend took the 184th podium of his career, extending the F1 record of the most podiums by a single driver in history.
Hamilton had not been on the podium since the first race of the year, the 2022 Bahrain Grand Prix. Meanwhile, Verstappen took the 26th win of his career, leaving legends like Jim Clark and Niki Lauda behind and sitting by himself in ninth place in terms of most wins by drivers in the series’ history.
The next race will be the 2022 British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
