The helmet is the same version as the black and purple design Hamilton wore during the 2020 Formula 1 World Championship, with many messages towards favoring anti-racism campaigns. However, there have been some tweaks made to the design of the seven-time champion.
The basic purple and black design saw some big changes, as a rainbow flag was added by Hamilton to support inclusivity and equality for all in races at Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the 2021 finale at Abu Dhabi.
As a difference from the design in Qatar and Saudi Arabia, the Abu Dhabi design was shiny and had more of a metallic finish.
