Alain Prost arrived in Maranello ahead of the 1990 season, after driving for McLaren and winning the Formula 1 World Championship in 1989, but with an ugly finish to the season between him and teammate Ayrton Senna.
Then with three World Titles, Prost was looking to add to his resume, while also giving Ferrari a title for the first time since 1979.
Although another battle with Senna ended in ugly fashion, with a crash, the Brazilian was now the champion, but Prost had fought brilliantly with his Ferrari 641 and 641/2.

He won five races in 1990, including at Senna’s home race in Brazil and in his own home Grand Prix in France. Prost also recorded nine podiums throughout the year but finished second in the WDC with 71 points.
That season, he wore his usual helmet with the sponsors of the Scuderia Ferrari, and it certainly looked lovely. You can see it by clicking here.
