The 2023 edition will mark the 73rd celebration of the iconic Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix, taking place at the legendary Monza circuit.
Did you know that the 1980 race was held at Imola? In the past five editions of the Italian race, five different teams have tasted victory: Lewis Hamilton triumphed for Mercedes in 2018, Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) in 2019, Pierre Gasly (AlphaTauri) in 2020, Daniel Ricciardo (McLaren) in 2021, and Max Verstappen for Red Bull in 2022.
Michael Schumacher and Hamilton lead at Ferrari’s home circuit, both with five wins each. In terms of Constructors, Ferrari has clinched 19 victories in the Italian Grand Prix since 1950, and also secured the win in the year prior to the inaugural Formula 1 season (1949).
