The Design: A Blend of Deadpool and Wolverine

Alpine had their cars painted with a Deadpool & Wolverine-themed livery, for the blockbuster movie starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

Reynolds is part of a group of investors that entered the Alpine F1’s operation in 2023.

Apart from the painting of the cars, Alpine drivers, Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon, also brought special Formula 1 helmets to Spa-Francorchamps, themed with the movie.

Wolverine’s Influence

On Gasly’s side, his helmet resembles Wolverine’s outfit, with yellow and black as the main colors. The helmet includes scratches from Wolverine’s famous claws and also has a rough, dirty look.

Deadpool’s Influence

In Ocon’s case, he went into the Belgian GP with a Deadpool helmet. The drivers also wore special race suits for the race.

The helmet looks exactly like Deadpool’s mask. Moreover, it fits Ocon quite well, as his usual helmet is also red.

Pierre Gasly’s Helmet Evolution

Pierre Gasly’s helmets in his first few F1 seasons were a bit ‘trapped’ under his team-themed designs. However, his helmets have transformed fantastically since arriving at Alpine in 2023.

At first, Gasly wore a golden helmet with white details for Alpine in 2023. Then, the Frenchman changed to a lovely light-blue helmet for the 2024 Formula 1 World Championship season.
