This is an exact replica of the helmet worn by Lewis Hamilton in the 2017 USA Grand Prix weekend.

After wearing a predominantly fire yellow helmet collection throughout the 2017 Formula 1 season, Hamilton chose to wear a white helmet for the 2017 race at the Circuit of The Americas, similar to the one he started wearing since the 2014 season.

The overall helmet design was exactly like the yellow one he wore through most of the races of the 2017 calendar, with little tweaks like the change from black to red of the Hamilton logo below the helmet’s visor. Other changes were the shade of gold added to the red section below the visor, and the orange section above the Cristo Redentor (on the back of the helmet) changed to canary yellow.

Hamilton won the race from Pole Position ahead of Sebastian Vettel, who led the competition in the early stages but could not hold the English racer’s charge. The Mercedes driver went on to win his fourth championship in the next race at Mexico. 

The British driver’s win was his fifth at Austin in six races, his fourth with Mercedes at the USA, and the fourth in a row in Texas.

This is an exact replica of the helmet worn by Lewis Hamilton in the 2017 Brazilian Grand Prix weekend.

After clinching his fourth Formula 1 championship in the previous race at Mexico, Hamilton was expected to wear a special edition design for the weekend at Brazil. The English driver elected to change the usual fire yellow of his 2017 helmet collection to a lemon yellow, and to the three stars on each side of the helmet, each star attached to seafoam green, yellow, and blue stars, a golden stripe was added and the fourth star on each side of the helmet meant Hamilton’s fourth F1 crown.

The Brazilian Cristo Redentor remained in the back of the head protector, while the “HAM” reading changed from black to blue. The “Still I Rise” quote was changed from red to blue, while the Brazilian National Motto “Ordem e Progresso” was added to each side of the Cristo Redentor, along with the blue disk positioned in the middle of the Brazilian flag.

Hamilton’s weekend at Brazil did not start in the best possible way after he crashed during the qualifying session and had to start the race from the pitlane. However, the champion had a solid comeback on Sunday, finishing in fourth place just 5.4 seconds behind the winner of the race.

This is an exact replica of the helmet worn by Lewis Hamilton at the 2017 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend.

This was a special edition livery to commemorate Hamilton’s fourth Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championship, which he secured two races before the Abu Dhabi GP, at Mexico. The helmet was fairly similar to his collection throughout the year, with the predominantly fire yellow removed in favor of gold. 

The helmet kept the design of the previous race in terms of the four stars on each side of the helmet, resembling the Englishman’s four Formula 1 titles. The top of the helmet contains the homage to Hamilton’s championship-winning 2017 campaign, with the text “World Champion” above the 44 number and a “2017” with four black stars below Hamilton’s car number. The tone of red had a minor change from the usual helmet, from apple red to cherry red.

During the action on the track, Hamilton qualified second behind his teammate Valtteri Bottas, and drove his Mercedes to second place in Sunday’s event, scoring his 13th podium of the campaign and closing a successful year.

After wearing a white helmet collection between 2014 and 2016, Hamilton elected to switch back to a yellow design for the 2017 campaign.

Opposite to his helmets between 2007 and 2013, the lemon yellow went away and the fire yellow was the main color for 2017. The candy red from 2016 was switched to apple red for the stripes of the side. A red section was added in the front of the head protector, below the visor, the Cristo Redentor, the “HAM” text, and the “Still I Rise” phrase on the back remained on the helmet design.

On the sides, three other stripes were added, colored in green, yellow, and blue, with three stars superimposed with the same colors of their respective stripe. The top remains equal to its 2016 predecessor, with Hamilton’s logo and the number 44. However, the candy red was removed and apple red was deployed.

Hamilton won nine races, started from Pole Position 11 times and scored 13 podiums in the 2017 campaign, clinching his fourth title in the 2017 Mexican Grand Prix, after finishing ninth in an eventful race. In the process of winning his fourth title, Hamilton equalled Ayrton Senna’s tally of Poles during the Canadian GP, then went on to equal Michael Schumacher’s record in Belgium, and broke the all-time record for Pole Positions at Monza on a wet qualifying.
