This is an exact replica of the helmet worn by Fernando Alonso during the 2015 F1 season, his first with McLaren-Honda.

The helmet is divided into a yellow area (the sides and the back) and light blue (front and top). The sides feature red stripes which form the Spanish flag in the sides and the back. The light blue and the yellow are the colors of the flag of Asturias, the place of Alonso’s birth.

The top features Alonso’s arrows, both painted in silver. The Spanish driver said that he took the arrows from a toy he was gifted as a kid because the driver had the arrows on his helmet.

In his return to McLaren, Alonso had his worst season since his debut year with Minardi in 2001, when he did not score points. He finished in the points twice —British and Hungarian Grand Prix— in the entire campaign and scored just 11 points.
