This is an exact replica of the helmet worn by two-time Formula One World Champion Fernando Alonso during the 2010 season, his debut year with the Scuderia Ferrari.

The helmet design returned to the usual light blue and yellow helmet of Alonso’s early years, as a difference from the red and yellow helmet from 2009. The Spanish flag can be seen diagonally on the sides and merging in the back.

The top features Alonso’s arrows, both painted in chromed silver. The Spanish driver said that he took the arrows from a toy he was gifted as a kid because the driver had the arrows on his helmet.

Indigo blue details were added on the lower area of the helmet.

In the 2010 campaign, Alonso came close to winning the World Drivers’ Championship with the Italian squad. He entered the finale at Abu Dhabi leading the championship, but three other drivers —Red Bull’s Mark Webber, Sebastian Vettel and McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton— had the chance to win the title.

Vettel won the title clash after he took the victory and Alonso could finish only seventh.

Alonso won five races in 2010  —his highest number for Ferrari in any season— and finished on the podium ten times, scoring 252 points.
