For the 1977 campaign, Fittipaldi wore his traditional dark blue helmet with a red stripe over the top and the lower area of the sides. The design was made by famous Brazilian painter Sid Mosca.

The livery is painted in Lauda’s iconic red and the name of the Austrian champion written in white letters on each side. Sponsorship and other figures on the design are different from other designs, but the livery is the same of his early years.

In the 1977 campaign, Lauda won his second title and the second in the last three seasons. He won only three races during the year but his consistency was the key. He left Ferrari after winning two titles with the Scuderia.

De Angelis’ design, the same throughout his career, consisted of a white helmet with two stripes painted in red and denim blue. Both stripes begin in the lower section of the sides and they merge on the back of the helmet. De Angelis’ name is written in cursive lettering in the denim blue stripe.
