Barrichello wore a helmet dedicated to Ingo Hoffmann, a former F1 driver from Brazil who was retiring from racing in that year. The helmet is orange with yellow areas and black on the lower section and the back.

In the race at Interlagos in 2008, he finished in 15th.

This is an exact replica of the helmet worn by Rubens Barrichello in the 2006 Brazilian Grand Prix.

Barrichello’s regular design consists of a white helmet with rose-red ovals on the front (covering the visor) and the back. The ovals are outlined with blue lines. The top features a blue circle with light blue cylinders and a star in the middle. For his home race at Interlagos in 2006, he wore a special helmet with the ovals painted in yellow and with yellow and green hands painted on the livery.

The top was changed and includes the blue circle from the Brazilian flag.

In the race, Barrichello finished seventh.
