This is an exact replica of the helmet worn by Formula One World Champion during the 1992 F1 season.

The design, Mansell’s typical throughout his racing career, is divided between a white section in the front —surrounding the visor—, and a blue area in the back of the helmet. The two areas are mixed with white and red arrows in the sides —the arrows are united on the back of the helmet and both are pointing towards the visor—. 

The difference from other helmet liveries during his racing career is a blue band surrounding the top of the helmet, which is noticed only in the white section of the front.

The colors of the Union Flag are the most important aspect of the livery, however, sponsorship meant that yellow was added to the livery, due to the Camel ad being placed on the sides.

The 1992 season was Mansell’s greatest. Driving the majestic FW14B with a Renault engine, the English driver won nine races during the year (a then-record) and sealed his title at Hungary with five races to spare. He became the first British driver to win the championship since James Hunt in 1976.

This is an exact replica of the helmet worn by Nigel Mansell during the 1991 Formula One season.

‘The Professor’ elected to maintain a similar helmet design for his last campaign in Formula 1, with the white, red, and blue colors of the French flag being the most noticeable aspect of his head protector. After taking a sabbatical in 1992, Prost returned to Formula 1 to take a seat at Williams, the undisputed champion of 1992. Prost’s 1993 season was fantastic, with the French racer taking home his fourth Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championship in dominant fashion. He won seven races, had 12 podiums overall, and added 13 poles to his resume.

Prost retired after the 1993 season as Formula 1’s all-time leader in victories with 51, until Michael Schumacher broke his record in 2001.
