For his home race of 2009, Button wore a very different design from his usual livery. The helmet is painted in white and contains various buttons decorated with the Union Flag and surrounded by the phrase “Push the Button”.

The design was made by Bernie Zohl, a fan who won the competition opened by Button where fans would compete for the chance to see their design wore by the driver during the race.

This is an exact replica of the helmet worn by Jenson Button in his title-clinching 2009 Brazilian Grand Prix.

Button wore his regular design during the 2009 season, however, the colours were completely changed to fit with his car’s colours. His usual livery contains the initials of his name on each side of the helmet and the Union Flag on the back. On this design, those figures still appear, but the helmet is painted in bright yellow and the lettering and the flag are painted with black, outlined with white.

The top, initially painted in bright yellow, gave way to team sponsor Monster Energy, which means it is painted in black with the logo of the company.

In the race at Interlagos, Button finished fifth to secure his unlikely championship with Brawn GP.
