Villeneuve’s regular helmet design is conformed by four main areas, a light blue one (top), a pink one (sides and front) with the shape of a “V” separated from the blue with a black outline, a green area and the lower section is painted in red. The design of the “V” is similar to the one in the helmet worn by his father, the great Gilles Villeneuve.

The Canadian, who ended up winning the 1995 Indycar World Series, won the 1995 Indy 500 from fifth in the grid even after suffering a penalty early in the race. He was racing for Team Green.

During the 2006 season, Villeneuve drove for BMW Sauber, achieving only seven points in the first 12 races of the season. After a sustaining an injury after a crash in the 2006 German Grand Prix, he was replaced for the next race by Robert Kubica, days after, he left the team and did not compete in F1 ever again.

This is an exact replica worn by Formula One World Champion Jacques Villeneuve during his title-winning year in 1997.

Villeneuve’s regular helmet design is conformed by four main areas, in this livery, as a change from his classic design, the light blue one (top) was changed to indigo blue. The pink section (sides and front) with the shape of a “V” separated from the blue with a black outline, the green area and the lower section painted in red remain in the livery. The design of the “V” is similar to the one in the helmet worn by his father, the great Gilles Villeneuve.

In the 1997 season, Villeneuve’s second year in F1, he won the title after a fierce battle with Ferrari’s Michael Schumacher. The title was decided in the last race of the season at Jerez when Schumacher arrived at the European Grand Prix with a one-point gap over Villeneuve. 

While battling for the lead, Villeneuve tried an overtaking move over the German driver, who drove into him and prompted a crash. If both cars retired, Schumacher would take his third championship, but his move was not successful and Villeneuve carried on while his car beached in the gravel.

Villeneuve finished third in the race and won the championship. Afterwards, Schumacher was disqualified for his driving in the final race of the season.
