Hamilton drove for McLaren from his rookie season in F1 (2007) until 2012, when he decided to join Mercedes to start the 2013 F1 campaign.
With McLaren, the reigning World Champion won the Formula 1 World Drivers’ title in 2008 (he was the last McLaren driver to win it to date). Hamilton won 21 races and achieved 49 podiums in 110 races with the Woking-based team.
