RED BULL DOMINATES THE 2022 ITALIAN GRAND PRIX WITH MAX VERSTAPPEN

1089087-f1

Max Verstappen recovered from a five-place grid penalty to win the 2022 Italian Grand Prix at Monza, and he now has a chance to become an F1 World Champion in the upcoming event.

The Dutch driver of Red Bull won the race ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Mercedes’ George Russell.

The race ended correctly behind the Safety Car as Daniel Ricciardo’s McLaren car failed with around six laps to go and the track wasn’t cleared on time for a restart.

It was Verstappen’s 31st victory in Formula 1, equalling World Champion Nigel Mansell’s tally of victories. The win was also the fifth consecutive for the Red Bull driver and the all-conquering RB18 and his 11th of the season.

Red Bull has won 12 of the 16 races in the 2022 Formula 1 season, being highly dominant over their rivals. Apart from Verstappen’s 11 wins, Sergio Pérez won the 2022 Monaco Grand Prix for the team.
