Michael Schumacher is one of the most iconic Formula 1 champions in the history of the sport and his name means greatness among motor racing fans. The German won a joint-record seven Formula 1 World Championships and retired with 91 victories under his belt, which was the highest tally in the sport record books until 2020 when Sir Lewis Hamilton broke the mark in dominant fashion.
Schumacher started his legendary career in 1991 with Jordan, and then joined Benetton from the end of 1991 until 1995. He won two Formula 1 titles with Benetton in 1994 and 1995, and then competed for Ferrari between 1996 and 2006, winning five consecutive championships between 2000 and 2004, and achieving 72 victories.
He first retired from F1 in 2006, but Schumacher returned in 2006 with Mercedes. Though his stint with the German brand (2010-2012) was not successful (he achieved just one podium), the German was definitely a bright spot to watch in a Formula 1 track and gave us some cool images. From his fights with young champions in that era, like Hamilton or Sebastian Vettel, Schumacher also gave us stunning helmet designs.
