After missing from the Formula 1 calendar in the last two seasons due to issues related to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Australian Grand Prix at Melbourne will return to the F1 circus, with the race set to be held on April 10th.

A late cancellation in 2020, when the weekend was about to start, and another cancellation in 2021 kept F1 away from Australia, and we even missed the new high-speed layout of the Albert Park Circuit.

The Australian Grand Prix entered the official Formula 1 calendar in 1985 when the race was hosted at Adelaide.

Melbourne entered in 1996, and it was traditionally the first race of every season from that point on (At Adelaide, it was always the final race of the season).

The most successful driver in the Australian Grand Prix is Michael Schumacher, with four wins, while McLaren leads all teams with 11 victories at the event.
