The 2022 Miami Grand Prix is the fifth race of the 2022 Formula 1 season, and the first day of action showed that the Mercedes AMG team might be making a return to form after George Russell finished first in the second practice, and his teammate, the seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton, also looked competitive on Friday.
Ferrari and Red Bull ran into some trouble, as Carlos Sainz crashed his Ferrari in the second Free Practice and Max Verstappen’s Red Bull suffered a mechanical issue which ended the Dutchman’s session quite quickly.
Russell leads the way in FP2 as we’ve got 3️⃣ different teams in the top 3️⃣ again 👏

Charles Leclerc, the current leader of the World Drivers’ Championship, finished second in the second practice, while also being very competitive during the simulations with heavy fuel loads, which is a direct practice of the conditions expected during the race.
The race will be celebrated on Sunday, May 8th at the Miami International Autodrome at Miami Gardens, USA.
