During his F1 career from 1978 to 1991, Piquet competed in 14 World Championship seasons and took home three World Championships, two with Brabham (1981 and 1983) and one with Williams in 1987.

Piquet won 23 of the 204 races he started in his F1 career, and he also achieved 60 podiums. He drove for Ensing, a McLaren for BS Fabrications, Brabham, Williams, Lotus, and Benetton.
