Max Verstappen won the most recent Formula 1 race in Hungary after starting the event in 10th place.
The victory in the 2022 Hungarian Grand Prix was the 28th of the Dutchman’s Formula 1 career, and also the 70th podium of his journey in the series.
Verstappen has started 154 races and has won 18.18% of those starts. All his wins have come with the Red Bull Racing squad, a team he was promoted to from Scuderia Toro Rosso ahead of the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix, a race he won with a clever strategy from his team.
The Dutchman is now eighth in Formula 1 history in terms of victories in the series, ahead of three-time World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart and behind the 1992 World Champion Nigel Mansell, who won 31 of his 187 starts (16.5%).
Fernando Alonso, a two-time champion, is sixth on the list with 32 victories.
Sir Lewis Hamilton leads all drivers with 103 victories in his F1 career, followed by Michael Schumacher (91), Sebastian Vettel (53), Alain Prost (51), and Ayrton Senna (41).
