The 2024 Bahrain Grand Prix will kick off the F1 season, marking the 20th race held in Bahrain. This season opener will take place as a Saturday night Grand Prix, a logistical move by F1 to accommodate the following race in Saudi Arabia, also scheduled for a Saturday.
In 2024, there will be three Saturday Grands Prix, excluding the six Sprint Events already planned, with Las Vegas hosting a Saturday race for the second consecutive year. Bahrain has previously hosted the opening race of the F1 season five times (in 2006, 2010, 2021, 2022, and 2023).
Lewis Hamilton holds the record for the most wins in Bahrain, with five victories, while Ferrari leads the teams’ standings with seven wins, achieved by five different drivers: Michael Schumacher, Felipe Massa, Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel, and Charles Leclerc.
Max Verstappen, representing Red Bull, emerged victorious in the 2023 edition and is considered the favorite for the 2024 event. Mark your calendars for March 2nd, when the Bahrain Grand Prix will electrify F1 fans worldwide.
