Max Verstappen won the 2024 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix and took his fifth win of 2024 in the seventh race of the Formula 1 World Championship season.
The race returned to the calendar after being canceled in 2023 due to inclement weather which sadly hit that region of Italy, causing tragic situations. The Grand Prix was celebrated in the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola.
Verstappen won his third consecutive race at Imola, as he had won the previous two races in 2021 and 2022. Lando Norris, who had won for McLaren in the previous round in Miami, finished second. The British driver put pressure on Verstappen in the final few laps and finished just seven-tenths behind the Dutchman.
The victory was Verstappen’s 59th in F1. Charles Leclerc completed the podium, giving Ferrari a podium in its home Grand Prix.
