The Scuderia Ferrari is the biggest brand in Formula 1 and the most successful in the history of the category.
The Italian team has won 16 World Constructors’ Championships and 15 World Drivers’ Championships since 1950.
Even though Ferrari’s last titles came in 2007 (WDC) and 2008 (WCC), the team remains clearly ahead of the rest in terms of results, with Williams as the closest team with nine Constructors’ titles, and McLaren second in terms of WDCs with 12.
Ferrari has won 240 Grands Prix, with McLaren second all-time with 183 victories.

The driver who won Ferrari’s first Formula 1 race was José Froilán González. The Argentine won the 1951 British Grand Prix at Silverstone driving a Ferrari 375. He beat his fellow countryman Juan Manuel Fangio (Alfa Romeo) by 51 seconds after starting from Pole Position, which was also Ferrari’s first.

González also took his maiden win that day, on July 14th, 1951, and he would end his career with two victories and a second-place finish in the 1954 World Drivers’ Championship standings, behind Fangio’s Mercedes. He recorded 15 podiums in 26 starts.
