China, with the Shanghai International Circuit, will return to the Formula 1 calendar with the 2024 Chinese Grand Prix, the fifth race of the 2024 World Championship calendar.
The event will be the 17th race in China, each celebrated in Shanghai. The race will be the first in China since 2019, when the 1000th Grand Prix in F1 history was celebrated at the venue, with the win for Lewis Hamilton.
Hamilton is the leader in victories in China among drivers, with six victories (two with McLaren and four with Mercedes). Mercedes leads among teams, with six victories with two different drivers (Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, who took his maiden win in China in 2012).
The event will be held on April 21st.
