Albert Park is set to host the Australian Grand Prix once again, marking the third edition of the F1 race since Australia’s return to the calendar post the COVID-19 pandemic hiatus.
Scheduled for March 24th, the event holds the distinction of being the third race of the 2024 F1 World Championship. With this race, the Australian Grand Prix will celebrate its 38th occurrence since its inception in 1985, and its 27th installment at Albert Park since 1996.
Interestingly, when the Australian Grand Prix initially joined the F1 calendar in 1985, it was held in Adelaide until 1995 before transitioning to Albert Park.
Among drivers, Michael Schumacher holds the record for the most victories in the Australian Grand Prix with four wins, while McLaren leads the teams with 11 victories since 1985. Notably, Ferrari boasts the most successes in Melbourne, clinching eight wins.”
