This is an exact replica of the helmet worn by Michael Schumacher in the 2012 Belgian Grand Prix weekend. The design was created to commemorate Schumacher’s 300th Grand Prix.
The weekend at the Belgium GP was special for Schumacher, not only for his 300th race but because it was at the same circuit where he made his F1 debut in 1991, Spa-Francorchamps.
The helmet contains Schumacher’s usual seven asteroids on top of the helmet, accompanied by the German champion’s signature in candy red. The main color is silver, while the sides and the back feature images of Chinese dragons, as usual in his Mercedes years, and the text “300th GP Michael Schumacher” on the sides, as well as his signature.
Schumacher became only the second driver in history to take part in 300 GPs, after Rubens Barrichello. Jenson Button, Fernando Alonso, and Kimi Raikkonen joined the list afterward.
In the 2012 Belgium GP at Spa, Schumacher drove his Mercedes from 13th on the grid, to seventh place.
